The Shepherd's Corner

[:en]THE SHEPHERD’S CORNER

God has called one of His beloved children home. On Thursday, July 19, our brother Bun Hua slipped into the eternal presence of Jesus. He is no longer with us physically, but he is now forever a member of the Kingdom of Heaven. Despite his relatively young age as a Christian, he died a spiritually mature man. Till we meet again, Ko.

There were many things that he said that had really blessed me. One of them was his realization that long before he knew Jesus as his Lord and Savior, Jesus had already known him. In fact, He had already guided his steps and blessed him abundantly. No wonder, during his sickness that required him to be bed-ridden this past few months, he constantly gave thanks to God for His love and mercy.

Another thing about him that has left an indelible mark in many of us was his willingness to help. You see, our brother was a handy and a helpful man. He liked to help others expecting nothing in return. But, out of all the places he had worked on, there was nothing like working in the church. He told me, that it was so sweet to be able to work at the church and that every time he worked at church, his heart became so elated and peaceful.

Our brother Bun Hua might not know much about the Bible, but he knew much about the heart of the God of the Bible. He knew that Jesus was loving and forgiving; consequently he, too, learned to be loving and forgiving. That’s why one of the ministries he loved the most was visiting those who were sick.

During his time of illness there was one thing he missed the most—going to the house of God—the church. You see, church was his second home. So, we’re glad to say that he is now at Church.
