We all wish to hear good things about what have done.  No one really wishes to hear negative comments about what they have done.  But, there is something else: We all wish to hear that what we have done is right.  No one wishes to hear any accusations that what they have done is wrong.  In summary we want to hear feedbacks that we have done that which is good AND right.

God has called us not only to DO good and right, but more importantly, to BE good and right.  Barry Minkow is once a con man.  He was convicted in 1980s for fraud, went to jail for 7 years, but came out repentant.  He subsequently entered Christian ministry and became a pastor.

Unfortunately the story does not end there.  In March he pled guilty for another wrong-doing involving money and now his church in San Diego is accusing him of “misusing the church funds and luring its members into bad investments.”

Jesus has called us to a higher calling—not only to do good and right, but to BE good and right.  To do good and right is a matter of action; to be good and right is a matter of heart.  It’s about having a good heart and about having our heart in the right place.
