We just had our baptism service but God’s willing this coming November we will do baptism service again.  There are already two individuals who have shown interest.  As a matter of fact one has begun the catechism class.  The other one will start next week.  I just want you to know that I feel so blessed.

Baptism does not bring us to Christ; baptism is an outer sign that we are in Christ.  Baptism does not only demonstrate our obedience to the command of Christ, it also exhibits our courage to take that step—to declare openly that Christ is in us and we are in Christ.  I truly respect your decision.

One of you has also graciously given the time to consult with Bob about what could be done to our lawn to provide more seating area and at the same time, beautify the outer appearance of our church.  As I listened to her explanation I could not help but rejoice in the fact that God has blessed us with so many talents.  And, all these talents are used to bring glory to Christ our Lord.

Last Saturday we had our youth banquet.  The youth leaders had been in the church since morning to prepare for it.  They were the first to come and they were the last to leave because afterwards they had to clean up.  I was not a part of it but from the office I could hear lots of giggling, laughing, and singing praises to the Lord.

I cannot make people come to be baptized.  I cannot make people come and give their professional expertise to the church.  I cannot make people come, prepare, and clean up for the others.  Only God can.  Only His love can.
