Olajide Oluwaseun Noibi recently made news.  He was able to get on the plane and fly using expired ticket in someone else’s name—numerous times!  And, one more thing: He has no valid ID and the only ID he has is actually an old university ID card!  By the way I forgot to mention that all this happened in US airports!(Tidak ada terjemahan dalam bahasa Indonesia)

Sneaking on to flights using other people’s expired tickets and telling different lies to get on the plane are plainly wrong.  But, there is something else about this man’s behavior that bothers me.  According to his Facebook page, he proclaims to be a “storyteller, strategist and designer who is passionate about reaching the world for Jesus.”

Well, I must concur with his self-description as a storyteller, strategist and designer—after all that was what he did, wasn’t it?  But, I do have a problem with the latter part, about his being passionate about reaching the world for Jesus.  To me his action belies his passion; in fact his action can potentially veer people away from Christ.

We are not perfect either.  And to some extent and occasionally we, too, do things that ward people off from the love of Jesus.  That’s why we try our best not to misrepresent Christ so others can see Jesus in and through our lives.

Again and again in this whole month of June I see your selfless and sacrificial love.  From the time of Pastor John’s illness and his homegoing to the renovation period, you have worked so tirelessly and given so abundantly.  Thank you, all.  May the Lord bless you with His goodness!
